Student Volunteer Opportunities

Below is a list of local volunteer opportunities for students and families who need volunteer service hours, practical experience hours for CTE classes, or who just want to give back to the community. This is also an opportunity for students to use this as a job shadowing experience in their area of interest. Do not hesitate or wait to accumulate your hours and help someone today through volunteering your time, skills, and compassion.

  • City of Seguin Animal Services Volunteer - Become a part of the Seguin Animal Services Dream team!

  • Seguin Police Dept. Volunteer - The Seguin Police Department offers many volunteer opportunities throughout the year.

  • Seguin Public Library Teen Volunteer- Teen volunteers help the Youth Librarians run activities and games at the library's summer reading events, help create flyers, prepare crafts, fold pamphlets, clean toys, and other activities.

Teens can also earn service hours by serving on the Teen Advisory Board. Offering 1-2 hours per week.

  • Volunteer Match - The mission of Volunteer Match from Hands On Central Texas (HOCT), is to connect people to high quality volunteer experiences while addressing critical community issues. United Way and Hands On Central Texas bring people and resources together to create opportunities for individuals, families and neighborhoods to prosper.

  • Guadalupe Regional Medical Center - Volunteers can make an impact all around the hospital such as the front information desks, outpatient waiting areas, gift shop, as well as departments including Imaging, Maintenance, Surgery, Endoscopy, Medical Records, and more. Whether you work from home or you’re a seasoned professional, student or retiree, there is always a need for dedicated, compassionate citizens to help GRMC serve its patients and community.

  • Catholic Charities of Central Texas - This program offers various volunteer opportunities.

  • New Braunfel's Food Bank - Fighting Hunger doesn’t always start with a meal. It starts with those who serve. Our volunteer opportunities range from our sorting room, client-choice pantry, community kitchen, and our garden and farm areas. Whether you’re an individual, group, or company there are many opportunities to volunteer.
