Navarro Cross Country

Cross Country is a team and individual sport in which the girls run 2 miles and the boys run a 5K or 3.1 miles. Middle School usually runs 2 miles. Points are awarded to each athlete in the order that they finish. The team, which consists of seven runners, that has the lowest score out of their top five runners, wins. Runners that are not part of a team do not count toward the team points. Ties will be broken by the place of the 6th and/or 7th place runner. This means everyone on the team has a vital role to play.
