Guadalupe Road Closures

There are several road closures in the area. Buses may have to use alternative routes this afternoon. The radar looks like we will get a break shortly, hopefully lasting until tomorrow afternoon, which will give the creeks and rivers a little time to settle down. Remember to turn around don't drown.

Destination Imagination Information Meeting - 9/19/2018 - 3:45 pm

There will be a Destination Imagination Information meeting for parents interested in starting a DI team for their Navarro student. It will be held on Wednesday, September 19th at 3:45 in room 210 of the annex building behind the old Intermediate school. Students in K - 12th grades may participate in DI.

Principles of Applied Engineering

Navarro High School is offering Principles of Applied Engineering as a new CTE elective. If your child is interested in switching an elective choice to this new elective, please email Mr. Gary - john.gary@nisd.us . A description of the course follows:

Principles of Applied Engineering provides an overview of the various fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and their interrelationships. Students will develop engineering communication skills, which include computer graphics, modeling, and presentations, by using a variety of computer hardware and software applications to complete assignments and projects. Upon completing this course, students will have an understanding of the various fields of engineering and will be able to make informed career decisions. Further, students will have worked on a design team to develop a product or system. Students will use multiple software applications to prepare and present course assignments.
